Owner Andrea Janes and manager Leah Jenski will find out in early December if their request for a special liquor license will be approved by St. Charles officials. According to their business plan,Kava Diem is a cafe offering a “fresh and healthy menu of organic foods and beverages.”

When they open,the business hours will be as follows: 6 a.m. to to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays,6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
